Point toward Fuji

  1. Open Fuji Locator and allow location access while using the app.
  2. Hold your device flat. The top of the screen points forward.
  3. Turn in the direction of the arrow. Green color and text confirm alignment.

The bearing uses true north. Distance is the direct distance toward the summit, not a walking or driving route. The app does not predict visibility. Clouds, terrain, buildings, and the curvature of Earth can block your view.

Location access is off

Tap Open Settings in the app. Allow location access while using Fuji Locator. Return to the app and wait for a fresh reading. You can withdraw permission in your device's Settings at any time.

The compass is waiting or points incorrectly

Move away from metal objects, magnets, and magnetic cases. Hold the device flat and wait for the readings to settle. The app hides the direction arrow when it cannot get a recent, reliable compass reading. A physical device with a compass is needed to show the live arrow.

Change distance units

Open Help and settings with the information button. Choose kilometers or miles. Your preference stays on your device.

iPad and larger text

Rotate or resize your window to suit your view. Scroll to reach content in small windows or with larger text. Please email us if any control is hard to reach.

Accounts and network access

No account is required. The compass calculations run on your device. Getting a location depends on your device's available location sources. Opening these support pages or sending an email requires network access.
